About Aitabé
“What can I say about Aitabé? Honestly, she’s just a fucking amazing teacher.”
“Aitabé is a mentor, a guide, and a peer all at the same time - which is really rare in learning spaces. She has so much wisdom and information to share with this world. And she carries it with a pureness, an openness of heart.”
“Angelic. I would never think to use that word, but that’s what comes through. There’s a real focus on you - your being. Her attentiveness, presence, and love is unwavering.”
Sensethinking Facilitator Training Students
Aitabé (aka Alison Fornés, MEd.)
Family Constellations found me in 2011 and immediately impacted my life in profound ways. It affirmed to me that it was both “real” and something I wanted to learn deeply. A year later, I left my decade-plus career as a high school teacher in NYC to begin a mentorship with Dan Cohen (seeingwithyourheart.com) and a new life in the “Field” of constellation work.
Through my work with Dan, I connected to the national and international Family and Systemic Constellations community. From 2012–2016, I was involved in organizing conferences and intensives at the national level, an experience that enriched my learning immensely.
In addition to Dan Cohen, my teachers include Emily Blefeld, Ed Lynch, Emily Waymire, and Andrea Bosbach Largent. I’m also grateful for the influence of Francesca Mason Boring, Jan Jacob Stam, and Suzi Tucker, as well as the wisdom of Bert Hellinger, whose guidance continues to reach me through my teachers.
Ultimately, I am a teacher at heart. When I discovered what is possible with Constellation work, it felt natural to explore how it could be applied in education. Alongside my training in Family Constellations as a healing modality, I’ve independently developed a pedagogy that centers constellation work and intuition in teaching and learning.
I call this work Sensethinking (sensethinking.com). I have recently started training a new generation of leaders in Sensethinking, and together we are part of a growing international community of systemic educators.
At this point in my career, my mission is twofold: first, to be of good service to the private clients who find their way to me; and second, to see that Sensethinking reaches the largest possible audience it can find. I believe this work represents a new paradigm in both healing and in education.
